WP Late Night Becomes Most Popular WordPress Podcast!

It’s has been confirmed that WP Late Night, the new podcast I’m a Co-Host on, has become the #1 WordPress Podcast! I’m really excited, especially since we are just getting started. Last night we recorded the 8th episode of WP Late Night and are having a great time!

WP Late Night LogoWe’re trying to make this podcast different from the rest. We stream live video of the show using Spreecast. You can watch the video recording of our past shows on our WP Late Night Spreecast channel.

Another reason I think the show is so successful is the synergy between the hosts. I’ve known Ryan and Dre for a few years now. We’ve hung out at many WordCamps (and after parties!) and have become really good friends. Being friends with your co-hosts makes a big difference in the harmony of the show and I think that really comes across in each episode.

If you haven’t tuned in yet I highly recommend you give us a spin. You can listen to all of our episodes by visiting WPLateNight.com. You can also catch us live every Wednesday @ 8pm EDT on the WPCandy.com Stream.

  1. WP Early Morning 😛

  2. Very cool. I used to listen to http://wp-community.org but podcasts are far and few between. Just curious, what other WordPress podcasts are still around besides the WPCandy ones?

    • I don’t think there are any active WordPress podcasts outside of WPCandy.com right now

  3. Confirmed by whom?

Anyway, I agree you’re probably right. Most of the other ones have stopped which is a shame, but WP Late Night would have been right up there with the best.

  4. Ha, confirmed. Sure, in the sense that it’s the most popular podcast on WPCandy, and as far as I know we’re the only site doing WordPress podcasts.

Looking forward to Wednesday, as always, Brad 🙂

    • What the hell, I’ll confirm it from a listener standpoint!

You guys are entertaining to listen to, clearly get on well and most importantly really know what you’re talking about.

Some of the other (now defunct) podcasts occasionally left me wanting to shout “don’t you know xxxx” (WordCast). Others were great, but not as technical as this one (WP Weekly). Yet others were decent and technical, but didn’t have the same chemistry you guys have (Joost’s version of The WordPress Podcast).

Don’t get me wrong, I loved all those podcasts and I’m not knocking any of them. I used to listen to them religiously. But you guys have brought it all together.

      Keep it up!

      • Thanks Stephen! We think it’s a pretty special show so it’s awesome to hear other people confirm that 🙂

  5. I will have to check it out. I just started a WordPress Users group in the West Phoenix area.
